Ramsey the food tsar

Gordon Ramsey

Gordon Ramsey

It always seems incredibly bad taste for one super chef to sound off about another, and none more so than in the case of bruiser Gordon Ramsey, who as self appointed food Tsar of Britain, has lambasted Delia Smith for giving the thumbs up to tinned food, and other chefs for using vegetables and fruit out of season. Ramsey believes those importing unusual products such as strawberries and asparagus out of season should be fined heavily by the government and he is petitioning his chum, Gordon Brown, to enforce this. If that happens, old Gordie might as well hang up his clogs now. He’ll have half the restaurant owners and chefs in the UK baying for his blood, not to mention their customers. I totally agree with Ramsey that seasonal products taste better and, furthermore believe that by not importing exotic fruits we may possibly help diminish the carbon footprint. My wrath is more about this ephemeral and lightweight cook’s outrageous arrogance in declaring what other chefs should prepare in their own backyard. It is none of his business what they choose to cook and he should keep his rather oversized snout firmly wedged in a garlic presser in his own TV enhanced kitchen.
